Dassault Systèmes provides FS Team Delft with CAD (Computer Aided Design) and FEM (Finite Element Method) software, with the help of which every part of our racer is designed. Due to the elegance and internal complexity of these programs, 70 engineers work in tandem to construct one of the most competitive Formula Student machines in the world. Pretec machines a wide variety of precision parts for the team, both large and small components. For example the company made the moulds for the rims, outer inserts for the suspension and the pre-load rings for the inner wheel.

TMF Prototyping, powered by B&S Technology in Tilburg, is your supply chain partner for
precision parts, product assemblies, prototyping, dies and moulds or small-scale series production.
With over 75 years of experience we have all techniques and disciplines in-house and give our fine
mechanical tailor-made products the precision it needs. TMF and B&S are your one-stop-shop for
additive and subtractive manufacturing.
To win races, our car needs to be fast and also lightweight. To accomplish this our main aim is to maximise the downforce-to-weight ratio for which it is necessary that we construct high performance lightweight parts such as wings. Lucky for us we have support from our partner, Emkay Plastics. Emkay Plastics are experts at manufacturing high-grade plastics for various applications. We use their rigid and lightweight structural foams specialised for automotives to construct these parts, keeping our car lightweight, rigid and planted through fast corners.
